Touchstone Prayer

The Touchstone Prayer Team meets on from 6-7 p.m. Tuesdays to pray for the needs of Touchstone and those of our constituents. We will not meet on Christmas Day or New Years Day, but let’s still remember each other in prayer on those days. To join us in person or submit a prayer request, contact us.  Please pray for the following:

General Theme: Please pray for teachers and CiViL Groups facilitators.

PRAISES

  • Thanks to God for providing just in time!

  • “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee.”

  • Some beautiful Nashville weather!

PETITIONS

TOUCHSTONE/CIVIL:

  • Peace in the midst of stress

  • Show Your Love campaign to provide personal items for foster & homeless students.

  • Finances - $ to cover bills and payroll

  • A successful re-boot for a CiViL boys group

  • Troubling situations with race, poverty, conflict, and other social problems

  • Protection for our staff, interns, and volunteers from attacks of all kinds

HEALTH ISSUES:

  • A friend has severe muscle pain resulting from an infected spinal disk.

  • Several CiViL students have life-threatening illness.

  • Healing for several pulled muscles in Jim’s hip

  • Two frieds’ mothers have heart problems

  • A friend who had a serious stroke while overseas

  • Several friends with the flu

  • A friend with breast cancer

  • A friend’s recovery from shoulder surgery

GRIEF & TROUBLE:

  • Comfort for the Milsap family regarding the death of their son Todd

  • A friend’s son in severe depression

  • A friend with an explosively tempered boss

  • A friend’s ending marriage and the family’s grief

  • Wisdom and guidance to the Youth For Christ team who are working with those teens.

  • A friend’s family suffering divorce.

  • A friend’s job problems

  • Political violence in Haiti where many of our missionary friends have been working

  • A friend’s lonliness

OTHER:

  • Relief for victims of Middle Tennessee flooding

  • A workshop performance of “The Last Days of Buster Drumwright” (music by Jim Weber, Nan Gurley, and Billy Sprague) in late March/early April

  • A friend needs a full-time job and hope

  • Problems and wrongdoing in Metro Nashville Public Schools

  • Nashville Youth For Christ - more students to respond to the Gospel
